Indiscipline Cruise
2001

| From Norman's we were able to get a VHF radio relay from a helpful boat and make reservations for a mooring buoy at our next stop at the Exuma Land Sea Park on Warderick Wells. |
| Warderick Wells has the park headquarters, and many trails. The island has been home to English settlers, freed slaves, and the south anchorage was a famous pirate lair. The secret to this popularity has been the fact that the island has a fresh water well. After looking at the well it is a good thing we had plenty of fresh water aboard! Here is a view of the Exuma Sound from the top of the haunted Boo Boo Hill trail - where you can hear long departed English missionaries singing hymns on moonlit nights. |

The island is home to many creatures including these mockingbirds busily chattering away early one morning. |

| Boats lined up on the mooring balls in the fine north anchorage. This is high tide. |
| At low tide, things look quite different. Our boat was moored in the deep channel, but sandbars and beaches emerged all around us. It was about a 20 foot swim/walk from Indiscipline to a temporary private beach. |

Hiking the island trails means clambering
over rough limestone and weaving among mangroves. A great afternoon
adventure. These islands are very desolate and we can't imagine the difficult life of the early settlers. |
| Passing boaters have built an incredible cairn on top of Boo Boo Hill and The crew of Indiscipline made their heroic contribution. |
| Bubba, a giant barracuda, lived off our stern for several days. Fat and happy on a diet of hot dogs, he has not had to hunt fish for years. |
