Pentwater, MI

Crossing the lake was fairly easy, but it was bumpy and uncomfortable out in the middle. It took about 4 1/2 hours from Sheboygan. The channel is man made, cut through to Pentwater Lake for the loggers. It is pretty narrow with a different sort of navigational hazard, kids jumping off of the jetty into the channel.

Here we are at the Snug Harbor Marina. The marina has a nice grassy picnic area.
We made friends with another family on a boat named, Suitewater, and we all traveled together for the next few days. Amy and Heidi instantly noticed that there were two girls on the boat and quickly made friends. We took the dinghy to the beach and got our first real good sunburns.

Then we went into town. Of course the Flipper and Pokey had to find there treasure from Pentwater. They have decided to collect little wooden boats and seagulls and key chains, and ... We managed to find an ice cream store and the fresh fruit stand called The Cornercopia with sweet delicious cherries and pie. The next day, we headed for Ludington with our new friends.
