Indiscipline Cruise 2000
Ludington, MI

Ludington Channel

Ludington Municipal Marina is nice and clean.  Our friends in Suitewater called for a slip right next to them, so the four girls played all day again. Ludington is home of the Badger, a car ferry that still operates between Michigan and Wisconsin. But if you ask Flipper about Ludington, the most important thing was the book store since they had the new Harry Potter book in. She read it in two days! Pokey found a new series for herself called, the Secrets of Droon.

CJ waiting for his ship to come in.

The Badger makes four trips a day and each time they blast the horn. It knocks you off your feet. A lot of little boats come out the marinas to watch her dock.

The Badger We watched the Badger dock in Ludington. This giant ship came motoring straight to
the dock. About a ship length away they let go their starboard anchor. The ship then pivoted around the anchor and then they backed
against it to the slip. - no bow thrusters here and only a big single prop.
Another Picture of the Badger. I guess I was impressed. The ship move so much water causing the clear harbor water to turn murky. That is what the gulls wait for. There were a bunch of them diving on the churned up good stuff.
These beauties came right up to the boat and very politely, as only a mute swan could do, asked for a little something to eat.
