| Elk Rapids Marina was the nicest municipal marina that we stayed in so far. It was recently upgraded and they did a great job. There was a good beach with plenty of sand and gentle water for swimming. We could walk out about 100 feet into the water and the level still only came to our knees. |
| We took a day trip to Old Mission Point Bay, anchored, had lunch, and spent the afternoon swimming off the back of the boat. A fun way to spend the day. |

... We also picked up our first volunteer crewperson. He was with us for the next five days. John was someone CJ met through the Trawler-World email list and we all enjoyed his company and were glad to have his help. It was nice to have a guest complete with new conversation, bread, and presents. He also had a car and took us to the grocery store. The boat was a little crowded, but all managed just fine. |
