Charlevoix is a pretty town with beautiful homes along the harbor. The Emerald Isle is the ferry to Beaver Island which is about 20 miles out of Charlevoix. Coming into Charlevoix, we blew a water hose and so had to shut down that engine. This made coming into the channel a bit of a challenge.  The entrance to Lake Charlevoix has a bridge that goes up every half hour, so we had to queue up against the channel wall in a strong current.

The bridge finally went up and with a few anxious moments and good team work, we came into Lake Charlevoix without a problem. We bought a new hose for $7.00 and with a few groans and grunts installed it. No more water in the bilge, hooray.
