Indiscipline Cruise 2000
Arcadia, MI

Arcadia Channel

From Ludington we made a 35 nautical mile passage to Arcadia. What a great place!
Miles of beach to walk, play and swim. Big sand dunes. Few people. Arcadia was mostly locals having a quiet, good time. There were a few guest slips. We took the dinghy to the beach and played all day. One night we had quite a lightning show and heavy showers.

Arcadia Dunes

These are the dunes outside of the Arcadia channel. They are about 700 feet high. People try climbing them and try riding quads up. These Michigan dunes are called perched dunes and were formed at the end of the ice age. They are mostly covered by soil and tress, but when they are exposed, it is called a blow out.
