The Log of Indiscipline III
08/2008 Vacation Cruise
| Here lies the log of Indiscipline, a 17 day, 435 mile voyage that covered
the following ports:
Lava Wall (Catalina Island)
Smuggler's Cove (Santa Cruz Island)
|The first stop was the Lava Wall campsite, 4 miles from Two Harbors, on
|Amy and Joel camped ashore, I stayed on the boat.|
|Here's a beautiful sunset panorama of the cove.|
|On this night, the seas were rough, the waves perpendicular to the wind,
and the boat was rolling so much I had to hold on tight all night!
No dinner was served!
|Indiscipline just off the dinghy dock in Two Harbors|
|Amy and Joel|
|Taking the car to shore.|
|One day was spent in Avalon with Karen and Heidi, who came over for the day on the Catalina Express.|
|On the ride back from Avalon.|
|After the kids left I took the boat around the West End of Catalina, bound for Catalina Harbor.|
|The rugged West End.|
|The backside of Catalina has fascinating geology.|
|Indiscipline at anchor in 5 feet of water in Catalina Harbor.
Probably the best natural harbor in all of Southern California.
